Exciting things are happening at SCR; we have added new programs, taken on new coaches and adding new members to our MMA FIGHT TEAM.

ALSO...Sevencorner Road Fight Club is now SBAC-SCRAll fighters please note...we train 5 nights a week at SBAC boxing gym: this is a perfect place for us to knuckle down and get in some good, hard work. This is a St Louis landmark for 100 years...and a place to learn how to fight if you want to do MMA, Boxing or Muay Thai. PLEASE DO NOT COME THERE UNPREPARED TO WORKOUT...if you have sparring gear, bring them; water and towel is a good idea. Even if we grapple...you need a cup...and I'm not talking about for the water...

SBAC has a long history of training some of the best fighters in the St Louis area.  Please note; we train at the GYM...not at the HALL.

The location of the training gym is SEVENTH AND CAVE STREET! (7th and Cave) JUST SOUTH OF AB BREWERY...GO WEST ON UTAH OFF BROADWAY AND THEN SOUTH (LEFT) ON 7TH...LOOK ON YOUR RIGHT.

AND...we grapple 2 nights per week at the Hit Squad in Granite City...like SBAC...this is not a Yoga and tights place...come to roll with some of the best...

Muay Thai...and ufc style training

มวยไทย
Thai Boxing has been around for a long time; many rituals, myths, music and dress all associated with the art...but the main thrust of Muay Thai...is the strikes...strikes with foot, leg, knee, elbow and fist...and, just as important, the unique training; the intregal element of this sport.

Muay Thai is simplicity; there's no wasted motion...once you understand the basics it applies to every aspect of Muay Thai; you get in the ring with the trainer and he guides you through a program designed to energize your natural, fighting moves; add a little torque, some plyometric action...put these ballistics into the best movement your body can do...and you have power.

Thai Boxing uses the most powerful strikes in combat sports. The kicks come straight from the ground and hits with the full force of hips and torque of the center body... elbows and knees follow the same principle...direct to target...full force...

We stress power strikes over finesse, but we immediately combine movement with the strikes to press home the need of strong stance, balance, footwork and range; this is best done in the ring with a Thai trainer.

If you already have experience, we won't try to remold you; we don't process clones...we just make sure we' re both on the same page...Thai Pad workouts are unique in speed and complexity; not to be taken lightly.

No, it's not simple...you'll have to give up some sweat and time...sore muscles and a few bruises. If you master Muay Thai...you will have mastered a skill that no one can take away from you; use it for fitness, fun, self-defense, competion or combat...
